Quotes (also called estimates or proposals) let you give clients a price before the work starts. When they say yes, you can convert the quote to an invoice instantly.
Click Quotes in the left navigation, then click + New Quote.

Choose the client from the dropdown — or add a new one on the spot.
Exactly like an invoice — add a description, quantity, and unit price for each item. GST is calculated automatically if applicable.

Set a date after which the quote is no longer valid. This encourages clients to make a decision promptly.
Click Save & Send to email the quote directly to your client, or download the PDF and send it yourself.

Once the client approves, open the quote and click Convert to Invoice. All line items, amounts, and client details copy across automatically. Review, set a due date, and send.
